This is a budget hotel located at the southern end of Pantai Cenang. The hotel also calls itself Tanjung Malie Resort. I have seen both names labeled at various places in the hotel. The fact is... it's just a lodging only budget hotel with minimal service and no food. However if you are looking for a great vibrant location, close proximity to the beach, and simple rooms with standard amenities to sleep at nights at budget prices, then this can be a good choice.
At the entry, the dark glass covered reception area is on the left. Behind that there are two large 4-storeyed buildings with a passage in between. The two large buildings house the rooms. And at the end of the passage you will reach an open concrete porch area facing the Ocean. And if you look left from here, you will see the beautiful Pantai Tengah beach below. In fact this open porch at the backside with coconut trees and nice seating areas is commonly shared with another hotel - Mali Perdana Resort.

There are several barrack style single storeyed rooms at the backside with large common patio. They are closest to the water. Although you won't get water views directly from most rooms, but once you come out to the patio, the view is awesome. There are rocks off the water. Locals climb the rocks to soak in the sun and the view.

There are 70 rooms in the hotel spread across two buildings and the backside barrack style brick rooms (these are the family seaview rooms close to water and the beach). The family rooms with two queen beds are quite spacious. Types of rooms include family standard, family deluxe, family seaview, couple room etc.
All rooms have air conditioning, TV (with limited local channels), attached bathrooms with geysers etc. Deluxe and seaview rooms have mini fridge as well. But there are no telephones in the rooms. So calling the reception and asking for service is a problem. You will need to walk up to the reception right near the entrance to ask for any service.
Water dispensing machine with hot and cold water is provided near the reception area where you can fill up your bottles. No water or kettle in the rooms.
Wi-fi is available at the common public areas. You won't get connectivity in the rooms though. The hotel has enough parking space in front.
Backside barrack style family rooms
There is no in-house restaurant in the hotel. But that's not a problem. The entire area is buzzing with restaurants and shops of all types. Mc Donalds is only few steps away. While the staffs at the reception are cooperative, the service is almost non existing. If you want to get them make your bed, let them know when you are going out.
The reception can organize local sightseeing tours. Although check-in time is at 2pm, they try to accommodate early check in subject to availability of rooms.

What we like about the hotel
Location is great. The Pantai Tengah beach can be accessed from the backside of the hotel. A stairway leads down to the beach on one side. In fact the beach starts from that point. From some of the backside rooms, the view of water is lovely.
Lots of shops and eateries are nearby. You can also easily walk down to the most popular Pantai Cenang beach in just 10 minutes. The famous tourist attraction Underwater World as well as couple of Duty Free stores (Zon and Coco Valley) are just 2-minutes walk. The Cenang Mall is also at an easy walking distance.
What can improve
1) Cleanliness of the rooms can certainly improve.
2) They should provide intercom phones in the rooms to call the reception.
3) Water should be provided in the rooms.
